The ED & F Man Commodity Services (MCS) operation was created in response to the increasing demand for commodity derivatives products from both our clients and the financial community.

ED & F Man Commodity Services comprises two Units: ED & F Man Commodity Advisers (MCA), the regulated brokerage arm and ED & F Man Derivatives Advisors (MDA), the derivatives and risk management part. 

These two Units provide innovative hedging and risk management tools to the Investor community, the Trade community, the Origin and Destination clients and the Group’s subsidiaries and their clients. Capitalising on our trading liquidity and hedging volumes, at MCS we develop and execute customised strategies, based on commodity derivatives, to help our counterparties manage their exposure to the commodity markets. We offer execution through the regulated futures and options markets, and increasingly provide tailor-made solutions in the over-the-counter arena.

Our Clients

We have a diverse client base with their interests ranging across all market sectors and with a broad mix of hedge funds, commodity trading advisers (CTAs), asset managers, banks, origin suppliers, industrial users and trade houses.

This diverse set of industry players allows for good trade flow between origins, industry and financial companies.
